Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Otsuka) has officially launched sales of its popular health drink, POCARI SWEAT, in India as of July. Known for its carefully balanced formula of ions (electrolytes), POCARI SWEAT is designed to replenish the fluids and electrolytes lost through perspiration, helping to maintain hydration and support overall health.
Sales and distribution in India will be managed by Otsuka Nutraceutical India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary established in 2024 and headquartered in Mumbai. The product itself will be manufactured by PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, Otsuka’s Indonesian subsidiary. POCARI SWEAT will be available through retail channels nationwide, accompanied by public awareness initiatives on the importance of proper hydration and electrolyte intake to support better health across the country.
This launch marks a significant milestone in Otsuka’s global strategy to expand its nutraceutical business and offer health solutions tailored to local needs.
