Alterome Therapeutics, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company specializing in next-generation small molecule targeted therapies for cancer, announced that Eric Murphy, Ph.D., CEO and co-founder, was honored as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2024 by Goldman Sachs at its Builders and Innovators Summit in Healdsburg, California.

Dr. Murphy was selected from leaders across various industries for this two-day event. With over 20 years of experience in small molecule oncology research, he previously co-founded Kinnate Biopharma Inc. and Fount Therapeutics LLC, and serves as a board member for Sidewinder Therapeutics. His personal mission is to develop therapies that could redefine cancer treatment. Under his leadership, Alterome has moved two lead programs from concept to clinic in under three years, raising $231 million for clinical testing of the first AKT1 E17K selective inhibitor, ALTA2618, and a novel KRAS-specific inhibitor, ALTA3263.
