Before leading CitizensRx, McGinnis held several executive positions at Lumeris / Essence Healthcare, a Medicare Advantage plan and value-based healthcare operator. During his time there, he served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations, where he was responsible for overseeing health plan operations, value-based services, and technology infrastructure. His leadership was instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and improving patient outcomes through innovative financial and healthcare models.
McGinnis also played a critical role in shaping the financial success of Express Scripts Holding Company, one of the largest pharmacy benefit managers in the nation. As the company’s Chief Accounting Officer, he led all aspects of accounting, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and compliance, tax strategy, and investor relations.
