Nuvem Expands Leadership to Advance Pharmacy Service Model

Nuvem Expands Leadership Team to Accelerate Pharmacy Service Model for Community Health Providers

Strengthened product, technology, and finance leadership positions company to scale mission-driven pharmacy solutions Nuvem, a leading tech-enabled pharmacy services company dedicated to empowering community health providers, today announced the strategic addition of three senior leaders across product, engineering, and finance. This expansion of its executive team marks a pivotal step in Nuvem’s ongoing growth trajectory as it builds the infrastructure needed to meet increasing customer demand for modernized pharmacy management solutions.

By combining expert consulting, advanced analytics, and purpose-built technology, Nuvem partners with community health centers and safety-net providers to strengthen pharmacy performance, maximize program value, and improve financial resilience. The latest leadership appointments underscore the company’s commitment to deepening its operational capacity and scaling sustainably, while ensuring that providers can continue to focus on their mission of serving vulnerable and underserved populations.

A Commitment to Mission-Driven Pharmacy

“For Nuvem, the timing of this investment in leadership could not be more critical,” said Scott Seidelmann, Chief Executive Officer of Nuvem. “Pharmacy matters now, more than ever. With these new leaders in place, we’re doubling down on our commitment to deliver a seamless, mission-aligned experience for every customer. We’re investing in building the operational strength needed to scale smarter, move faster, and support community health providers in navigating complexity with confidence.”

The company’s expansion comes at a moment when community health providers are facing unprecedented pressures. Rapidly evolving 340B drug discount program policies, payer and reimbursement challenges, and increasingly restrictive manufacturer practices are placing significant strain on providers that already operate with limited resources. These realities highlight the urgent need for reliable pharmacy service partners who can bring stability, compliance, and financial clarity to an increasingly complex healthcare environment.

Nuvem, which initially built its reputation around trusted 340B referral and compliance services, has evolved in response. Today, its portfolio spans in-house pharmacy management, cloud-based workflow optimization, advanced analytics, and comprehensive operational support. The 2024 acquisition of analytics provider Louvir accelerated this transition, providing Nuvem with enhanced data capabilities to give health centers better visibility into patient outcomes, financial performance, and pharmacy operations.

“Healthcare organizations need more than software—they need partners who understand both the mission and the mechanics of running a modern pharmacy program,” added Seidelmann. “As new leaders take the helm, Nuvem will continue to invest in the next generation of technology and analytics, ensuring that every customer has the tools and insights necessary to improve patient care while maintaining financial sustainability.”

The New Leadership Appointments

To execute this expanded vision, Nuvem has recruited three accomplished leaders with decades of combined experience across healthcare, SaaS, and service design. Their collective expertise positions the company to continue building the product, technology, and financial infrastructure that will underpin its next phase of growth.

Jim Garretson – Chief Product Officer (CPO)

Jim Garretson brings over 15 years of product leadership at the intersection of healthcare, SaaS, and service design. He has built a career around creating tools that simplify complexity and deliver measurable improvements in healthcare workflows.

Most recently, Garretson served as Vice President of Product Management and Head of Design at Omnicell, a global leader in medication management solutions. There, he spearheaded the development of a unified cloud platform and played a central role in launching Omnicell One, a tech-enabled service that combined machine learning with clinical expertise to optimize pharmacy performance. This innovation not only improved inventory management but also demonstrated how advanced analytics can reshape pharmacy operations.

Earlier in his career, Garretson held key roles at athenahealth, where he focused on improving clinical workflows, and Candescent Health, where he contributed to innovations in healthcare service delivery.

At Nuvem, Garretson will lead product strategy, design, and customer experience. His mandate is to develop tools and interfaces that empower community health centers to adapt faster, evolve smarter, and serve their patient populations more effectively.

“Nuvem is uniquely positioned to help community health providers succeed in an era of enormous complexity,” said Garretson. “I am inspired by the mission and eager to design solutions that bring clarity, efficiency, and impact to organizations that play such a vital role in public health.”

Michael Korthius – Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Michael Korthius joins Nuvem with more than two decades of experience building scalable technology platforms for healthcare and mission-driven organizations. He is recognized for his ability to design systems that merge software, data, and service delivery into seamless solutions.

Most recently, Korthius served as Vice President of Engineering at Omnicell, where he oversaw the development of cloud-based pharmacy platforms designed to meet the operational needs of hospitals and health systems. His leadership enabled Omnicell to deliver solutions that combined reliability with the flexibility required in a rapidly shifting healthcare landscape.

Prior to Omnicell, Korthius held engineering leadership roles at Curation Health, Candescent Health, and Bridge International Academies, gaining diverse experience in building systems that balance scale, affordability, and usability. His career reflects a consistent focus on applying technology to address some of the most pressing challenges in healthcare and education.

As Chief Technology Officer at Nuvem, Korthius will be responsible for the continued development of the company’s technology portfolio. He will guide innovation efforts to ensure that Nuvem’s solutions remain scalable, secure, and mission-aligned, with a focus on automation, integration, and analytics that help covered entities make better, faster decisions.

“Nuvem’s mission resonates with me deeply,” Korthius commented. “Technology should be an enabler, not a barrier, for community health providers. My goal is to ensure that our solutions scale alongside our customers’ needs while keeping their core mission—serving patients—front and center.”

Garret Albert – Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Rounding out the leadership expansion is Garret Albert, who brings more than 15 years of financial leadership in healthcare and SaaS. Albert’s track record includes guiding companies through rapid scaling, complex financings, and market transitions—all while maintaining a long-term focus on sustainable growth.

Most recently, Albert served as CFO at Mynd, a real estate technology company, where he successfully helped raise over $160 million in capital and led the company through its acquisition by Roofstock. Following the acquisition, he continued as interim CFO, ensuring a smooth integration and stable operations.

Earlier in his career, Albert served in strategic finance leadership roles at One Medical, where he supported the company through a $220 million private equity investment and its initial public offering (IPO). His ability to manage both growth and governance makes him particularly well-suited for Nuvem’s next phase.

At Nuvem, Albert will oversee financial strategy, capital allocation, and operational finance. His mandate is to ensure the company’s growth is not only ambitious but also sustainable—anchored in long-term customer value and aligned with the mission of supporting community health providers.

“Community health providers face extraordinary financial pressures, and Nuvem plays an essential role in helping them remain viable,” Albert said. “I’m excited to bring financial stewardship to a company that is so clearly aligned with its mission and committed to creating lasting value for customers and patients alike.”

Scaling for the Future of Community Health

Together, the appointments of Garretson, Korthius, and Albert represent a significant step forward for Nuvem. Their combined expertise in product innovation, technology scaling, and financial leadership positions the company to deepen its role as a trusted partner for community health centers across the United States.

By strengthening its leadership team, Nuvem signals to customers, partners, and stakeholders that it is committed to addressing the most pressing challenges facing the healthcare safety net. With new investments in technology, analytics, and operational excellence, the company aims to expand access, improve pharmacy performance, and enhance the financial resilience of the providers who serve the nation’s most vulnerable populations.
