Additionally, John Vieceli, Ph.D., has been named Chief Product Officer, and Lindsay Thompson has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer.
Jeff Hawkins, CEO of Quantum-Si, expressed enthusiasm for Bennett’s arrival, emphasizing his extensive industry experience. “Todd is a highly respected commercial leader, and his proven ability to build successful teams and drive the adoption of innovative technologies aligns perfectly with our goals for the commercialization of our Next-Generation Protein Sequencing™ technology,” Hawkins said.
Todd Bennett brings over 30 years of experience in commercial leadership within the life sciences tools and diagnostics sectors. The creation of the Chief Product Officer role, now filled by Dr. John Vieceli, is aimed at streamlining product development, production, and delivery processes. Hawkins noted that this new role will enhance Quantum-Si’s ability to deliver high-quality products on time. Dr. Vieceli, who joined Quantum-Si in December 2022, has played a crucial role in launching new sequencing kits and software tools. Lindsay Thompson’s promotion to Chief Human Resources Officer recognizes her significant contributions to the company’s culture and growth over the past four years. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and is certified by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
In other news, Grace Johnston, Ph.D., has resigned from her position as Chief Commercial Officer. She will assist with the transition until September 6, 2024. The company expressed gratitude for her contributions during her tenure.
As part of Bennett’s onboarding, the Compensation Committee of Quantum-Si’s Board of Directors approved inducement awards, including stock options and restricted stock units, with a combined grant date fair value of $1 million. These awards will vest over a four-year period, contingent on Bennett’s continued employment.
