Rite Aid Now Offering Flu and RSV Vaccine Appointments at All Locations

Rite Aid Announces Flu and RSV Vaccine Appointments Available at All Locations

Rite Aid has announced that appointments for both influenza (flu) and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccines are now available at all store locations, including Bartell Drugs in the Pacific Northwest. Customers can schedule their appointments immediately through Rite Aid’s online scheduler to prepare for the upcoming respiratory virus season.

With the school year about to start and fall approaching, staying up-to-date on routine vaccines is crucial to protect against respiratory illnesses. “Whether customers opt for a walk-in or prefer to schedule in advance, Rite Aid is committed to providing convenient access to essential health services,” said Karen Staniforth, Chief Pharmacy Officer at Rite Aid.

Rite Aid is offering flu vaccines that target the strains expected to circulate in the U.S. this year, including a limited supply of nasal spray flu vaccines at select locations. Customers who receive their flu shot between now and September 30 will receive a $5 coupon for a $25 in-store purchase (excluding stores in New York and New Jersey; some restrictions apply). For more details, visit RiteAid.com/flu.

The CDC recommends the 2024-2025 flu vaccines for everyone six months and older. Additionally, the CDC advises RSV vaccination for individuals aged 75 and older, and for those aged 60-74 who are at increased risk of severe RSV, following consultation with their pharmacist or healthcare provider. Pregnant individuals are recommended to receive one dose of the maternal RSV vaccine between weeks 32 and 36 of pregnancy, from September through January. RSV vaccines can be administered alongside other vaccines.

Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs also offer COVID-19 and other routine vaccinations at all locations, ensuring customers are protected against various diseases. The new 2024-2025 CDC-recommended COVID-19 vaccine will be available late this summer, targeting the most prevalent COVID-19 strain. Rite Aid pharmacists are available to provide guidance on appropriate vaccines and timing.

Both Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs pharmacists can administer vaccines to adults and children aged three and older. To schedule an appointment for flu or other vaccines, customers can use Rite Aid’s online scheduling tool at RiteAid.com or Bartell Drugs’ scheduling tool linked here. Walk-ins are also welcome at all locations.
